Penthouse at the Eclipse
Looking from the Eclipse eastward toward the Potomac across the Yellow and Blue Metro lines
I stopped by a three bedroom unit at the Eclipse in Crystal City this weekend. This 10th floor unit has a view toward the Potomac River and a spacious private deck.
Like many units at the Eclipse it features hardwood floors. Like all condos at the Eclipse the unit has a large flat screen TV and new stainless steel appliances, sleek cabinets and granite counter tops.
The snow hadn’t yet melted on the chilly February afternoon when I snapped this picture. So it covered the lower roof of the Eclipse as well as most flat surfaces below. The first picture looks eastward, while the second picture is from the same balcony, but looking South toward Potomac Yard and Alexandria.
Four Mile run near the Eclipse and Rt. 1
Four Mile Run is the body of water in this
picture. Four Mile Run empties into the Potomac here and it serves as the boundary between the City of Alexandria and the County of Arlington.
I’ve heard much talk about a metro stop being built here, but I don’t expect to see that happen in less than 5 years and perhaps in less than 10 years.
